Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of leading the consumer (fashion, habitat), agri-food, industrial, and services sections at ICEX Italy. This experience has allowed me to deeply immerse myself in the Italian market and understand its unique dynamics. My work has focused on three key areas: consultancy, promotion, and developing a solid network of contacts.Consultancy: Addressing the inquiries of Spanish companies looking to enter the Italian market has been central to my role. I have provided varied advice, from facilitating commercial contacts to offering legal insights on setting up subsidiaries, sourcing suppliers, and conducting market analysis. All with the goal of optimizing the success of Spanish products in Italy.Promotion: Organizing fairs and events has been another essential part of my job. I have managed spaces, designed stands, and organized showrooms and wine and food tastings, attracting industry professionals.Networking: To ensure the success of our promotional activities, I have developed a wide network of contacts in the Italian market.My time in Italy has equipped me with a precise vision of the market, negotiation skills, and the ability to create value for companies in this country.

I spent 20 years in Russia, a country that has always fascinated me. Since childhood, I absorbed any information about Russia/USSR, and during my studies, I dreamed of specializing in this market. Working for ICEX in Russia has been the most significant and enriching experience of my professional life. Despite current tensions between Russia and the EU, the Russian market continues to function, increasingly oriented towards countries like China, India, and Turkey.During these years, I have assisted over 200 Spanish companies in establishing themselves in Russia through various export and investment methods. I have experience in sales, marketing, market analysis, logistics, contracting, legal advice, and procurement. Although I have worked in various sectors, I specialized in food and wine, and equipment, with a deep understanding of major Russian importers.Under my direction, Spanish wine exports to Russia grew exponentially, positioning Spain as the second largest exporter in 2022, just behind Italy. Additionally, I have a good understanding of the markets of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Armenia, and can assist any company interested in these markets.

Enotria, the best sommelier school in Russia, offered me the opportunity to be a professor of Spanish wines, a role I enthusiastically accepted. For 10 years, I taught future sommeliers and advised restaurants on their wine lists. Attending numerous wine tastings from around the world allowed me to understand the mindset of wine experts and their criteria for comparison.

My experience at Aceitunas Guadalquivir was highly enriching, allowing me to gain in-depth knowledge of working with large retail chains. I managed the two main clients of the company in Russia, Magnit and X5, with a combined turnover of several million euros. I am particularly proud of the work done with X5, and I also managed to open four new clients for the company.

Garrigues was my first job after the ICEX scholarship. Although my time there was brief due to my relocation to Moscow, it was an intense period that allowed me to develop great capacity for effort and resilience. I collaborated with the real estate law and international tax departments, participating in the drafting of contracts and transfer pricing studies and due diligence.
