I am the Director of my own Consulting Company. We specialise in Card Issuing and Acquiring Management and any related aspect.

I managed two large strategic projects from a technical perceptive supporting the Business Strategy.

Chief Architect and System Owner at Mercantile Bank February 2009 to April 2010 Overall design and review of all systems, aligning to the Architectural StrategyMember of all Business and IT Steering Committees. These committees are attended by permanent resources, mainly comprised of Heads of Department and Executive Directors. Responsible for all Infrastructure and Architectural design relating to the Banks new Retail Banking system implementation. Review and approval of all technical specifications, integration and alignment to IT strategy.Attend, manage and approve all Systems Design relating to Alliance Partner integration or Alliance Partner use of Mercantile Banks Systems. Accountable and Responsible for all Card, Treasury and Postilion systems that includes budgets, service levels, resources, infrastructure, interfaces, in sourced services from EDS and Internet Solutions, outsourced service provided to Alliance Banking clients. Responsible for the IT budget, ensuring Balanced Score Card is achieved. Responsible for ensuring that IT Infrastructure/Service Delivery, including the outsourced EDS Network and Operations management align with IT architectural, Integration and operational Policies.Review and revise all Business Cases whether they are strategic or Divisional initiated for approval by the IT Steering Committee.Member of the IT Leader Team forum. Responsible for all IT Hardware and Software Procurement including revision of existing contracts and new.Manage team resources in ensuring system availability, problem resolution, business query management and service delivery.Translation of business requirements into systems solutions and ultimate implementation. Responsible for all SDLC processes across the Card, Treasury and Postilion systems.Day to Day operational management of these systems, including DBA processes, Infrastructure and Network availability.

Chief Information Officer October 2001 to January 2004Mercantile Bank Ltd Investigation and resolution within the Banks Credit Card division as to exorbitant operational financial losses, identified operational and system risks, non compliance with bank policies and procedures and blatant mismanagement. Similarly, investigate the IT department for mismanagement, lack of delivery and alignment to strategic initiatives. Management of the IT department including, system development, networks, infrastructure, project managers, service delivery. Development of an IT Strategy in support of the Business strategy. Cost containment and support of the Banks continued financial existence, based on the poor financial performance of the Bank at that time. Support of the Executive Directors and transition board appointed by SARB to ensure the Banks financial turnaround.
