Having been in employment for close to 30 years in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry, experience was gained in a variety of senior roles including 6 years of Managing Director roles in 3 countries and 7 years of international and global business management. The final position in that career of Executive Vice President held leadership responsibility for a Global organisation in over 100 countries, for 20,000 employees and a turnover of £4.2Billion.Leadership and Chairmanship roles have been held in not for profit organisations, pension funds and Non-Executive roles contributing to social care charities and other causes as well as recent involvement in merger and acquisition activity, expert support for arbitration and a range of consultancy roles within the healthcare industry. In each case, success was achieved through a professional, hands-on and highly committed approach. Through the effective management of people and resources employees were inspired to perform to the highest standards. I was known and recognised for strategic thinking, inspiring and listening leadership, calm crisis management and people development.Having closed that career chapter in large corporate roles and having established a small business closer to home, any opportunities to make a direct contribution to the global and local community are a personal interest, as I have the time, passion and energy to make a meaningful contribution.
