Construction Development Officer
▪ Co-ordinating feasibility studies of potential sites for development in order to reduce risk and determine if sites move to development stage. This can include discussions with landowners regarding potential acquisitions/approaches, early stages engagement with planners and other statutory bodies, and undertaking detailed cost assessments in preparation of Scottish Government funding applications. Being pragmatic in finding solutions, negotiating with neighbours etc. where need be to minimise cost overruns and hurdles to initiation of development. ▪ During the construction phase, organising monthly (or as required) meetings with key stakeholders, dealing with all on site issues which arise. Communicating effectively with the contractor and developing strong working relationships with their consultants in order to minimise potential delays and or cost overruns. Monthly reports of development progress, cost updates for board or external agency partners/clients, updating Scottish Government with regards to Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP) targets. ▪ Constant review of CHT’s internal design guide and implementation of required changes as part of lessons learned feedback. ▪ Instruction to solicitors concerning land acquisitions for development projects and negotiating initial terms with landowners. In addition, instructing surveyors to undertake valuations to best inform discussion/negotiation.
Construction Development Assistant
As Construction Development Assistant I am primarily responsible for assistingthe Construction Development Coordinator in working on a range of developmentprojects to deliver affordable housing across the Highlands. This includes workingon both HSCHT’s own developments and on external projects which are project managed by HSCHT.As well as assisting with Construction Development, I also assistwith the delivery of HSCHT’s community work programme. This involves workingclosely with community groups and other partners to help identify local housingneeds and assist with implementing actions plans to deliver the housing optionsand solutions required.Main duties of the post:- Enabling development on existing sites - Reviewing planning applications drawings and specifications· Assisting with contract tendering and procurement· Liaising with project partners and contractors· Visiting sites and monitoring progress· Organising progress meetings with key stakeholders· Assisting with identifying and acquiring new sites· Helping ensure timely delivery of project milestones· Arranging feasibility studies· Arranging fee quotes for and liaising with consultants· Meeting with community groups to discuss housing needs and strategy· Assisting community groups with funding applications
Crt Administrator
- Responsible for the maintaining of inventory levels through monitoring daily movements. Identifying required items and raising Purchase Orders from request to delivery. Also required to raise International Requisitions in accordance with forecasted operations for equipment required on upcoming contracts. - Responsible for producing utilisation reports of all assets, ensuring the appropriate rotation of equipment for operational use and all up to date service and inspection documentation is uploaded in ETM (Equipment & Time Management) Asset Tracking System. - Responsible for all Certification of CRT Equipment due to leave Aberdeen base. Dealing with 3rd Party Inspectors on a weekly basis to ensure equipment is approved for offshore use. - Aid Client Co-ordinators in the preparation of Equipment Mobilisation lists and documentation for projects across Europe to meet job specific requirements. - Reviewing Internal Workshop systems and procedures to improve the timely and accurate recording of Asset and Consumables movements, leading to cost savings through efficient stock control.

Forecasting costs for year end on a monthly basis in light of monthly expenditure. Created new budget reporting format in Excel to simplify departmental reporting. Monthly presentations to senior management on department financial performance in line with over/under spending.• Reporting of Monthly Inter-company balances through Excel and Hyperion software. Logging of unpaid/not received invoices for review.• Reporting personnel costs to appropriate contracts through journals in COINS software program, retrieving information to produce costs on a contract basis as requested by department or management.• Answering general requests from departments as to specific costs allocated to contracts/projects.
