In addition to our Marquee large cap research division, we also have a business division called MST Access, where analysts look to work in partnership with smaller market capitalisation companies to build market awareness through high quality institutional grade research. We work directly with companies where a lack of research coverage prevents the underlying economics and business strategy from being adequately reflected in the market sentiment towards the stock and thus the share price. While it has traditionally been uneconomic to cover small and micro-caps from a pure play research perspective due to lower institutional interest and liquidity, we have pioneered a model in response to requests from our small cap fund management clients who have highlighted that there is a significant shortage in thought leadership in the small/medium cap space. Our research team is supported by dedicated Research Sales and Trading desks, and a small cap. equity capital markets (ECM) team who provide market intelligence and leverage our unprecedented distribution network to drive liquidity.
