Currently, I hold the position of Adjunct Professor at North Shore Community College, at which I teach a variety of courses, including Advanced, Intermediate, and Beginner ESL Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Listening & Speaking. From 2003-2013, I served in the Salem State University English Department where I taught English Composition I & II, English Composition II for ESL, Basic Writing for ESL, College Writing, Directed Study, Intro to Fiction, and World Literature I & II. In addition, I had the opportunity to teach in the Salem State Learning Center Developmental Skills regular academic year and summer pre-college transition program. Before joining Salem State University and North Shore Community College, I lived in Japan where I served on the Japan Exchange Teaching Program as an English Teacher in K-12. After the JET Program, I completed a one-year program in Japanese Language and Literature at the Inter-University Center for Japanese Studies, a Stanford University program in Yokohama, Japan.
