Focused on representing and counseling clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, post-divorce modification and enforcement (contempt) proceedings, as well as probate litigation matters. I appear before probate and family courts across the Commonwealth, as well as the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.I have successfully represented individuals in sophisticated divorce matters regarding child custody and parental rights; complex alimony and child support issues; and the division of marital property. My cases frequently involve closely held businesses, valuation of commercial and residential real estate, trust interests and inheritance, and complex compensation structures. I am also experienced in mediating, conciliating and arbitrating family law matters and have been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© for Family Law Mediation since 2019.I have been selected as a "Super Lawyer" as published by New England Super Lawyers and Boston Magazine, and was named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and the Massachusetts Bar Association at its Excellence in the Law event. In addition to being recognized in the area of Family Law Mediation, I have been selected by my peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Family Law and Litigation - Trusts and Estate. Further, I was named a Top Lawyer as published by Boston Magazine. I currently serve on the council of the Boston Bar Association, where I was previously co-chair of the Family Law section. In 2020, I was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Trial Court and Chief Justice of the Probate and Family Court to serve on the Massachusetts Child Support Taskforce. I am a founding member of the Greater Boston Family Law Inn of Court; and a member of the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators. I have lectured on domestic relations law topics and trial procedure on numerous occasions for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, the Boston Bar Association, and Suffolk University Law School. I also author chapters for the Massachusetts Divorce Law Practice Manual (Chapter 8, Division of Estate; Chapter 20, Modification) and LexisNexis Practice Guide: Massachusetts Family Law (Chapter 12, Agreements), and I have published articles in various magazines on the topics of divorce and financial planning.
