My main focus was delivering and managing Borals' foundation leadership program, which was delivered to approximately 2000 front line leaders over a period of 4 years. The program was delivered Nationally through face to face and online learning expanding Internationally during the pandemic into North America and Mexico in 2020-21. The program was awarded: Best Leadership and Development Program with the Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD), and a finalist position in the Asia Pacific Institute of Learning and Performance Leadership award in 2020. My role also involved the participation and facilitation of other leadership and development programs at manager and higher levels and facilitation of various safety & wellbeing programs and initiatives. I also developed and established an internal Coaching & Mentoring program with Mentees including Site Managers (operational and support functional areas), as well as from Boral's Graduate Program (young engineers and scientists undertaking various industry related tertiary degrees). The role also involved the conduct of individual and group 360 deg reporting using Human-Synergistics Life Styles Inventory and Group Styles Inventory (LSI/GSI). I was also involved in the CEO’s Task Group formed to explore and improve business initiatives. I also had a key role in improving existing performance management processes to increase collaboration and engagement across the business. I also had an active role assisting in Boral’s contribution to various Veteran’s employment initiatives as part of the Prime Ministers Initiative into Veterans Employment (of which Boral won Best Large Business 2019/20), and internally as an active participant in Boral's Defence Alumni program. I have over 35 years service as an Infantry Soldier in the Australian Regular Army, completing my full time service in 2019 as one of Army’s six most Senior Enlisted Soldiers. The privilege of service provided me with practical experience in leadership, training, operations, and human resource management. I have qualifications as a Training Supervisor, which allowed me to qualify soldiers in leadership, planning, supervisory and instructional skills. I have supported numerous command and leadership teams, and have mentored, trained and advised many diverse groups, including small to large teams of Foreign Nationals overseas including US Marines in California, New Zealand and Pacific Military Officers in New Zealand, and our Indigenous Australians in remote communities in WA, QLD and NT. I have built a strong and trusted reputation as an advisor to Army’s senior military leadership and have also served as a senior advisor in a multinational headquarters.
