My name is David Gardner and I am interested in the intersection of math, engineering, and sustainability. I am a junior at BU currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering and Math with interests in machine learning and signal processing. Applied math interests me as well. Last semester, I studied a stochastic processes textbook that I chose through BU's Mathematics and Statistics Department's Directed Reading Program with my mentor and dynamics PhD candidate Rob Jencks to learn more about applied mathematics in a rigorous, proof-based manner. Teaching and performing classical and jazz double bass is a passion that has taught me the value of human connection. The community focus principle of music is one that I wish to apply to my career in climate tech.
