Part of the team that led the commercialization and scale-up of Iogen’s agricultural waste-to-fuels technology in partnership with Raízen (Brazil’s fifth largest company with US$25B in revenues). Member of the team that was responsible for evaluating new technologies for long term flowsheet designs• Developed technical and economic models to evaluate the feasibility of new technologies• Performed cost/benefit analysis on the technologies and presented to senior management to provide guidance which on technologies to pursue• Worked with 3rd party technology providers to understand their technologies and determine if there were synergies with Iogen’s proprietary technology

Part of the commercial design engineering team that developed detailed engineering packages• Developed four Technology Packages that detailed all the information required for an EPC contractor to build the fermentation systems. Packages included PFD’s, P&ID’s, Battery Limits, Equipment Sizing and design philosophy• Participated in Costing, Value Engineering, Bottleneck Analysis, and HAZAN exercises.

Plant process engineer responsible for the fermentation, evaporation and distillation unit operations• Technical lead on a $2.1M redesign of the fermentation system• Proving out the scalability of the fermentation operations from laboratory and pilot scale to demo scale (100m³ fermenters)
