I am an Information Security Manager, as well as a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Information Security:I have over 20 years experience in information security, business continuity and risk compliance. I have worked in various sectors including the financial sector managing risk compliance and business continuity with one of the leading banking institutes. I specialise in the international standards ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and ISO 9001. I have successfully implementing quality and information management systems into organisations and delivered ISO 27001 certifications. I have managed various sizes of teams and have a passion for colleague engagement, mentoring and developing staff for their next career goal. My strong leadership and communication skills has helped build effective, collaborative and successful teams. This has helped teams continually deliver on business objectives by installing confidence, empowerment and enthusiasm within his teams. I am passionate about making a difference, developing staff to ensure they reach their potential and continuously looking to build and develop businesses to exceed their objectives. Counsellor:I have over 12 years experience in supporting individuals, & couples with mental health issues. I passionately believe in providing an approach that puts the client at the heart of the therapy. My goal is to help build individuals confidence and self belief enabling them to make positive changes in their life. I have worked in various charities, EAP, schools (both primary and secondary) and addiction rehab. Founding member of suicide prevention charity supporting those considering suicide and families bereaved by suicide. Currently working as Clinical Team Lead at S.M.I.L.E Counselling offer counselling to 11-24 year olds in West Lothian. I am a family man with 2 daughters. Nothing pleases me more than spending my downtime with them and my wife. I also enjoy travelling, walking and playing football and snooker.
