The Center for Evaluation and Implementation Resources (CEIR) is the Veterans Health Administrations' central hub and resource for current knowledge and applications of the field of implementation science. I support CEIR's mission to educate and train VA researchers and clinicians in program evaluation and implementation science best practices through a number of roles including coordinating VHA's training and mentoring activities with Academy Health, NIH, CDC, and other organizations. I develop resources and materials that provide VHA researchers and clinicians with current knowledge on different topics related to the implementation, sustainment, and ongoing evaluation of new evidence-based programs or clinical interventions. I also provide time-sensitive consultation and support to VA operational leaders on evaluation and implementation methods, and refer VA leaders to implementation and evaluation content experts who can help support operational initiatives to bring new practices, innovations, and technologies to VHA facilities, providers, and patients. Finally, I support the activities of the QUERI Implementation Research Group, a learning collaborative consisting of VA and non-VA national experts in implementation science to further promote the use of implementation strategies in VA and beyond.

I am a doctorate-level project coordinator who specializes in individual- and organizational-level behavior change interventions to improve health outcomes across all levels of health systems.My work focuses on: 1) Physical activity interventions for management of chronic disease and mental illness2) Lifestyle interventions for diabetes and cardiovascular disease risk reduction3) Patient-centered communication strategies to affect the uptake of behavioral interventions 4) Effective implementation and dissemination of sustainable evidence-based practices 5) Strategies to help clinicians master LEAN/improvement principles to achieve quality health outcomes

Practicum experience with UMPC Sport Psychologist Steve Russo conducting team-based performance enhancement interventions as well as individual counseling on sport performance issues (e.g., anxiety, focus) as well as personal mental health problems (e.g. depression, disordered eating).

Supervised practicum experience (supervisors: Edward Etzel, Jack Watson III) in sport psychology counseling at the team and individual level for swimming and diving, cross country, and wrestling athletes. Worked collaboratively with coaches and trainers to create seasonal performance plans to enhance team and individual functioning. Responsibilities included attending practices, competitions, and heavy intensity training periods to provide on-the-ground coaching support.
