Acquired and successfully led company through Chapter 11 reorganization resulting in insurance settlements which were used to fund asbestos claimants trust.

Successfully developed and implemented strategic plan for resolving former manufacturer’s mass tort asbestos liability through Chapter 11 524g restructuring and creation of asbestos claimants trust, including: Reorganized and staffed company following divestiture by former parent; Managed national tort system activity; Developed and implemented process, systems and resources to fund operations through bankruptcy; Managed litigation resulting in settlements in excess of $900m; Developed and implemented governance and communications structure to properly discharge obligations to creditors and shareholders; Developed and implemented strategy to reconstitute company as viable operating entity following plan confirmation, including strategic plan for profitable real estate investment business, claims services and investment/management services business.
