EZ consulting is a company specializing in the radio broadcast landscape.The work consists of mainly consultation in all areas of the radio business, specifically in the sales, operations, and programming areas.EZ consulting has been involved in the setup of two regional radio stations within new zealand, project managing the business from startup to completion.

May 2006 – June 2008 Responsibilities:Development of operational strategies and objectives in conjunction with the CEO. Preparation of technical operation plans and reports, budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the CEO. Build, maintain and manage the company’s relationships with all major suppliers and contractors to ensure broadcast standards were maintained along with reducing business costs. Initiate and manage all operational projects, work with staff on all levels, contractors and suppliers to achieve satisfactory outcomes. Provide staff with assistance and training in project management. Liaise with all department heads to ensure the smooth functioning of their departments. Management of all technical operations for the network to ensure broadcast transmission service and quality of programming was maintained. Identified and recommended opportunities for improvement of technical operational performance.Key Achievements:Renegotiated contracts with existing suppliers resulting in savings to the organisation of over $100k per annum. Setting up of the technical and operational infrastructure in the Wellington hub. On various occasions fulfilled acting CEO role in her absence.Reason for leaving: Redundancy.

Responsibilities:Achievement of revenue targets as set by the CEO and set sales budgets while ensuring the cost of sales were kept within defined budgetary levels. Took an active role in client liaison presenting at all levels including agency (Auckland, Wellington), Government, NGO’s and retail. Responsibilities included securing increase in agency spend direct, and via TRB.Media planning, and conceptualizing promotional concepts to increase client awareness.Developed and lead a networks sales team to achieve business growth. Reviewed rate card and structure. Setup individual budgets and incentives for the sales team. Setup procedures to ensure sales policies of the company were followed. Rebuilt and managed the sales team providing motivation, assistance, training and support to all members of the team. Key achievements:Increased sales within the first 12 months by over 500% Rebuilt and established a new sales team with new salary and incentive packages that were beneficial to both the company and the sales team. Responsible for the management of 4 sales consultants in the Auckland Branch•Management of the monthly sales budgets and forecasting•Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets•Recruitment, sales training and development of top sales performers•Responsible for addressing staff retention and poor performance issues•Development of robust internal procedures for communication,management•Strategic client management •Coaching of the sales team by going out on regular sales calls with sales team and providing guidance and assistance where necessary Reason for leaving: Offered a more senior role within the company.

The George FM idea came from a conversation with my then business partner one afternoon in my garage.We saw an opportunity in the radio landscape for a niche radio station specifically formatted to fill the market with a Radio format like no other.George was born!! Utilizing the best club DJ's New Zealand had to offer, and to split the radio audience away from mainstream for cool people. Alot of people have always asked why the name George?Well we wanted to give it a "personality, make it a living thing" create hype so people would say, whos George?George is now a brand that is well established in the Auckland radio landscape. Something I and others who contributed to its sucess are very proud of.
