I have worked as an economist in the Commonwealth Bank (Sydney), The University of Western Australia and Australian National University (Tutor) and senior financial positions with Mount Newman Mining and Cliffs Western Australian Mining. In 1982-1988 I was the Group Treasurer for The Bell Group and managed banking, equity research and share trading for the group across offices in Perth, Melbourne, London and New York. I the joined the Barrack House Group as Finance Director before becoming Executive Chairman of Porter Western in 1991. From 1999 to 2005 I worked as a senior executive with Macquarie Bank.I was a Senator for The University of Western Australia from 1996 to 2006 and chaired the Strategic Resource Committee and was Deputy Chair of the Development Committee. I was appointed Pro-Chancellor towards the end of my term on Senate. I was a member of the Perth Festival Board from 2002 to 2015 where I retired as Deputy Chair.I have in the past been a non-executive director and mostly Chair or Deputy Chair of Carnarvon Petroleum, Antaria, ARC Energy, Great Southern, Northern Iron, ThinkSmart, Wellard and Automotive Holdings.I am currently Deputy Chair of contemporary dance company Co3 and Deputy Warden Convocation.I can be contacted for any further information on the above via Linkedin.
