At Prontaprint I worked as a Graphic Designer and was responsible for creating digital artwork for a variety of projects or working with existing designs and preparing it for print. I worked with a range of design software and liaised with both individual and commercial clients in order to negotiate requirements and organise design solutions. It was important for me to work to tight deadlines and strict briefs and be able to prioritise workloads. Organisation and stringent filing was key.

To me it was a fun case of problem solving and it appealed to my brief-led design education and experience. My responsibilities included organising and implementing frequently-changing promotional graphics, referring to company guidelines but also tailoring it to our unique store layout in order to provide the greatest impact and generate sales. I would complete the legal Trading Standards documents whenever this was done and I also created or customised in-store promotional tickets to brand standards when required. I brought my creativity directly into my role by personally initiating and crafting visual displays to provide ‘theatre’ and fun within the store for local events and in-store launches.
