As a senior systems engineer I have extensive experience in: • The development and verification of designs in accordance with the Clients’ requirements and relevant design standards to achieve cost effective solutions; • Production of design deliverables including specifications, reports, schedules, drawings and technical schematics; • Management of 3rd party design resource utilised in producing elements of the design (e.g. acoustic consultants, CAD); • Management of 3rd party equipment manufacturers and suppliers to ensure that proposed equipment is suitable for the individual project requirements; • Introducing innovation and leading edge technologies to provide unique solutions; • Carrying out site surveys; • Undertaking design reviews of other concurrent Communication System designs; • Providing design input into quotes and bids; • Assisting with commissioning activities• I am used to producing design in accordance with Network Rail GRIP design methodology and Railways Telecom Design experience; • I am willing to travel and work unsocial hours as required on an occasional basis; • I am computer literate and thoroughly conversant with MS office suite and AutoCAD. I am particularly interested in how AutoCAD can be used to automate system design. also have experience of Microstation; • I am experienced in the design and implementation of SISS renewals, including all elements of Customer Information Systems, CCTV Systems, Public Address Systems, Passenger Help Point Systems and clocks, along with associated systems (e.g. LAN). • I am experienced in developing designs in accordance with the Clients requirements and relevant design standards to achieve cost effective solutions. • I am experienced in the preparation and checking of feasibility studies, appraisal / assessment reports and other written documents, as well as the production and checking of design concepts, design details, drawings specifications and other technical documents.
