I feel like I found my career when I found sales and sales training. My background with a degree in education and my experience working in adult literacy were incredible opportunities, but I didn't feel like I found "it." I have been able to transition and use those same skills to not only train my peers and new hires, but educate my customers, rather than just sell them a product. Of course as a manager, the day-to-day needs of the retail store are a priority, yet once a system for that is in place, it kinda runs on autopilot. This gives me the time and energy to focus on personal and team development, including continuous learning and improvement. I can grow inwardly, outwardly and upwardly, while letting others make it higher by standing on my shoulders as support until they can do the same for others
