Research and development in fuzzy string matching/scoring applications.

I co-managed a team of five client success reps along with a manager partner, Rhett Gibbs, who also led the QA team. Our portfolio of some 150 customers included large property-management groups with 300+ properties, small companies with just one or two properties and everything in between.Our primary task was to solve customer problems, reaching out to the dev team where necessary. We trained our team to thoroughly troubleshoot hardware problems before contacting dev, and they also had database access for digging into logging issues, changes to user accesses, property configurations and the like.Supporting QA's mission was our secondary task, and we had a separate QA environment for running tests and modeling system behavior.

Research and development in automated name-searching applications. Developed linguistic resources for and proto-typed key components of GNR matching/scoring algorithm.

Developed dynamic content for DRMS (Defense Re-Utilization and Marketing Systems) website. Managed a team of three Perl/CGI & Java developers.

Collaborated on the development of linguistic-based fuzzy search models for use in name-searching applications. Traveled to US consulates abroad to implement. Returned later to interview users for feedback on their user experience. Product later became a commercial product called GNR (Global Names Recognition) and is now owned by IBM.
