Wyong Community Bank® opened its doors thanks to the commitment of the Wyong community.It is obvious that we had the community spirit required in Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank® campaign to get the doors open. A significant amount of work and public consultation had been undertaken in relation to the feasibility of establishing the Wyong Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank.A group of interested community members was briefed by Bendigo Bank on 22 March 2001 in relation to the proposal to establish the Wyong Community Bank® Branch and a committee was formed to evaluate the proposal.The results of the feasibility study were presented to the committee at a meeting held on 18 December 2001 and it was unanimously voted to proceed towards the establishment of the Wyong Community Bank® Branch.The branch opened its doors for business on 31 March 2003.

Point Clare Public School is situated on the western side of Brisbane Water and serves the communities of Point Clare, Koolewong, Tascott and part of West Gosford. The school provides a comprehensive education for its students, with all students accessing a wide range of learning experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesAs school leader was responsible for a staff of 37 employees and an annual budget of $900 000. Managed OH&S issues, HR responsibilities and Staff Welfare. Developed a yearly budget based on a three years management plan and ensured the efficient financial management of the school in consultation with senior school staff and community. Responsible for effective communication across approximately 600 families. Managed staff welfare, development and efficiency. Liaised with other Government Agencies and schools. Ensured the existence of an optimum learning environment that provided for outcomes in curriculum, quality teaching and learning, assessment and co-curriculum activities. Developed positive employer/employee relationships and promoted a collaborative culture. Developed a strategic vision that included wise stewardship of resources, implementation of efficient and effective administration practices and accountability for legal and policy requirements. Developed an inclusive and collaborative school community based on trusting relationships and mutual respect. Developed school marketing plans and promoted the school to the wider community.
