David Hart is the Chief Executive Officer of TRICOR in Tennessee and brings to correctional industries the necessary mix of business, government and people experience that has made an impact for change and improvement. He holds a MBA and a BS Degree in Business Administration and brings over 30 years of diverse business experience in agriculture, food, metal, plastic, and rubber manufacturing and warehouse operations along with the methods of improvement and quality; such as, ISO 9000, Kaizen, 5 S, 10 Step Accelerating Continuous Improvement, and 6 Sigma/Lean. Most importantly, he has been in progressively responsible positions that focus on the development of workforces and now include developing a blended workforce of offenders and employees. As the CEO, he is responsible for all facets of TRICOR business, which includes manufacturing, service, and agricultural operations located in the Tennessee Department of Correction facilities. He is leading the shift in organizational culture and learning through integration of the operations and transitional employees in developing a singular focus of workforce development. David’s influences of Dr. Edwards Deming, Stephen Covey, John Maxwell and Ken Blanchard contribute greatly to how he influences others. He was selected and attended the inaugural 2010 class for LEAD Tennessee and the 2011 class for Tennessee Government Executive Institute; Tennessee’s premier leadership programs. He has become involved with NCIA and has conducted a webinar for the NCIA Webinar Series and is on the Program Committee. He has been an examiner for Tennessee’s Center Performance Excellence and currently conducts workshops on the principles for driving excellence in organization. He is using this knowledge and passion to propel Tennessee correctional industries and the people involved to higher levels of performance and satisfaction in their work of preparing offenders for success after release.
