Throughout my five summers at Glyndebourne I had to be flexible in the roles and responsibilities that I was given. I worked as part of a team of waiters when I started at Glyndebourne and quickly set myself a goal to become a supervisor. I achieved this goal in 2017 when a position became available. I worked as part of a team of waiters when I started at Glyndebourne and quickly set myself a goal to become a supervisor. I achieved this goal in 2017 when a position became available. This new role involved general responsibilities for all back-of-house duties including helping to lead a team of up to 17 people at any one time. On occasion, the back-of-house Manager was off–site leaving me to attend management meetings, liaise with other departments, ensure targets were met and standards maintained. Working at Glyndebourne has helped me to develop a strong work ethic due to the non-stop pace of work and long days, upto 15 hours long.
