I requested medical records to ensure medical debts were accounted for in preparation for mediation. On one occasion, I facilitated the reception of records from 40+ providers with extremely short notice to ensure mediation could go on as scheduled. I also helped track down medical records that other legal assistants could not so our clients could get better results in mediation. I regularly used ATO (Aderant Total Office) to organize and log documents. I frequently coordinated between our client, opposing counsel, and our attorneys to schedule mediations. I requested bill reductions for our clients. I also requested lien ledgers. Occasionally, I met with clients to collect records and other information for the attorneys at the firm. I also assisted clients with interrogatories and helped attorneys with overdue discovery (I coordinated with clients to gather all pieces of information in Requests to Produce).

I drafted paperwork, including writs, motions and complaints. I also handled mail, both first class and certified. I set up new cases in the cloud based file and into the local computer system.
