I had worked with Walmart for almost 5 years before ending my chapter there. I started as an hourly associate in electronics. Just a few months later, I was offered a position as department manager over Sporting Goods, and Hardware. After a year there, I transferred to another store as a Sporting Goods Department Manager. I worked in this store for a year. I was later offered a teaching and training position with one of the Walmart Academy’s. I taught several general merchandise based classes to hourly Supervisors, and Department Managers. And after 8 months was offered an Assistant Manager position at a Complex Store (One of the top 10% most challenging stores in the Company). I eventually then went into being the store E-Commerce Manager until I left my Walmart chapter. I also worked as a Merchandising Manager in a TJMAXX store. I worked to both manage merch, and associates. Managing Merchandise involved great planning, as well as an eye for what’s trending. Being the leading company in off prices retail, it was very important to utilize store space to showcase our products. To give the custom an aesthetically pleasing shopping experience, as well as push sales to meet company goals. I worked for Lowe’s Home Improvement, as a Merchandise Service Manager. I managed a small team, and our soul responsibility was to manager every display, and side counter in the store. Working to keep vender sponsored areas 100% to display expectations. As well as maintaining in store brand displays, general merchandise, and so on. Doing this drives sales and customer experience.However, I’m back with the Walmart Enterprise. Working in Training and Talent Development. We strive to build world class teams and leaders. Focusing on Walmart, Sam’s, Supply Chain, and Distribution to develop a business that is skilled in caring for our customer, and our associates.
