Mr. Holbert has a broad range of experience in responsible charge of the structural design for building structures. He has been the structural engineer, project manager and/or principal-in-charge for numerous governmental, educational, medical and private sector buildings and parking structures varying in size from 1,000 sq. ft. to 1,000,000 sq. ft. This experience includes new construction as well as extensive renovation of existing structures. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the International Concrete Repair Institute and the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. (Past Chairman). He is also a Past President of the Consulting Engineers Council of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.Prior to forming Holbert Apple Associates, Mr. Holbert was a Vice President, Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager with Cagley & Associates, Rockville, Maryland. During his 24 years at Cagley & Associates, Mr. Holbert was responsible for a wide variety of projects, ranging from 1,000,000 +/- health care facilities, hotels and academic facilities to small and large renovation projects.Mr. Holbert is a 2001 Outstanding Engineering Alumnus of The Pennsylvania State University and actively supports that University's Architectural Engineering Program.
