I did two things in this role: 1. I was a de-facto general manager for a motion picture distribution business (to be precise a "sales representative"). I attended film markets around the world, wrote and negotiated IP contracts, and went for a wild ride. They don't call it the movie business for nothing. (I mean that in a business sense, not any other sense that might be inferred.)2. I did several business planning and development projects: - A social commerce venture combining entertainment, games and retail. - A social commerce venture linked to a crowd sourced TV show. - Two next-generation video content distribution businesses. - Business planning for a social entrepreneurial venture working in some of the worlds most remote and challenging areas. - Development package for a major motion picture. The motion picture distributor curtailed operations and is now implementing one of the "next generation video content distribution..." cited above. The two social commerce ventures are live ideas with people backing them. Neither has broken out yet, both are viable and progressing. The other next generation video content distribution business is being put into motion by the client. The major motion picture got so far and is in the fridge now. That's alright, It'll keep.
