I’ve organized and supervised our after school literacy enhancement program known as Books & Cookies. I've also been an after school tutor to our fifth grade students and I also am a member of our Instructional Leadership Team. A few of my best attributes are as follows; I demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to details, and computer competencies. I spend countless hours every school year weeding our collection and ensuring that it displays the diversity requisite of our community and student body. I have also spearheaded the organization of our school’s annual literacy night every year I’ve been the Library Media Specialist at Griffith Intermediate. I am currently completing a program through Maryville University to receive a STEM certificate which i will then use the knowledge gained from that program to implement more rigorous and engaging STEM activities through my library classes wih students and eventually establish a STEM club for before/after school clubs.
