My team has the responsibility for implementing and executing final closure plans for (41) different ash basins and piles in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana in accordance with state and/or federal regulations.

My organization had the responsibility to safely provide maintenance & technical activities to (3) Coal-fired stations; Miami Fort, W. H. Zimmer, & W.C. Beckjord. We were responsible for managing (43) Technical & Supervisory personnel, (63) maintenance craft, (52) base contractors & a transient contractor workforce. We successfully managed and executed an average annual Maintenance O&M budget of $104.3m and a Capital Budget of $40.2m.Since my joining, we accomplished a major restructure in order to strive in a competitive market environment. We were connected to the market & making everyday decisions based on maximizing margins. This achievement was accomplished by instituting a Fleet approach which allowed a focus on standardization, consolidation, & economies of scale between the sites. The maintenance team went from a silo individual station operation to a fleet one. This transformation enabled us to reduce 49% of base contractor FTE's and 25% of Duke Energy FTE's across the department. We were able to reduce overall costs, develop/track common measures, & strengthen individuals' technical & planning responsibilities.The team successfully implemented an Equipment Reliability (ER) Program to accomplish reliability at an optimized cost. The ER Processes are now in-grained in the daily operations/maintenance. The team executed an Asset Priority Listing (>12,000 Assets) & implemented Maintenance Strategies (>300 Critical Assets). As a result, the maintenance organization has transformed from a reactive to a proactive.Highlights•Experienced only (3) recordable incidents in the last 4 years for Duke Energy Employees in maintenance; (1) 2010, (0) 2011, (2) 2012, (0) 2013, & (0) 2014 YTD•Led the development of a Safety Coach Program•Successfully executed the largest Planned Outage @ Zimmer since inception -$55.7 million Capital & $22.9 million O&M•Led the development of a supervisor training program•Negotiated the 2014 - 2016 1347 IBEW Union Contract

Site/Production Manager for the W.H. Zimmer Generating Station responsible for the Production Department. Responsible for 71 people consisting of Supervisors, Area Coordinators, Production Operators, and Lab Technicians. Accountable for the Employee Safety, Unit Performance, Production Budget, and Station Measures. During this time period, the following accomplishments were achieved: Hired two new Production Supervisors to Zimmer, integrated the FGD & Main Plant Team into a single team, and lead station through time of change in organizational changes, retirements, and new roles.

Responsible for the Production Department and Technical Department at Beckjord Station. Developmental role for potential Station Manager position or other leadership role.

Responsible for the Miami Fort Production Department- 145 people. Accountable for the Employee Safety, Units performance, Production Budget, and Station Measures. In 2009, Production Department achieved Level 3 goals in Safety, Commercial Availability, Operating Generation, Capacity Utilitization, EFOR, Heat Rate, and O&M Budget. Established Operator Training Program. Started-up production on new FGD facility. Implemented new LOTO Procedure. Applied Employee Development Qualification Program at Miami Fort.
