Managing the day to day function to ensure compliance with the service agreement with Transport for Greater Manchester. Providing a safe, punctual and reliable service that meets our promise and meets customer expectations. I effectively and efficiently manage our drivers and vehicles out of depot, along route and back into depot. My main duties are to: -• Provide assistance to customers and drivers whilst overseeing the driver reporting. • Network with local community groups to influence their opinions on the positives of the Busway. • Attend meetings with TfGM to discuss Busway issues. • Liaise with Greater Manchester Police regarding antisocial behaviours on the Busway.• Attend school assemblies with local PCSO’s to highlight the dangers of antisocial behaviours • Deal with external calls and issues, which include complaints and queries.• Liaise with Engineering to maximise resource.• Take charge of emergency situations.• Keep Busway drivers updated on relevant information via the internal app.• Work and cover shift’s in the event of planned and unplanned absence within the team.• Engage with the Busway Drivers by carrying out regular job chats / reviews• Work with Service Delivery to cover service due to absence on the day, ensure accurate recording of driver’s duties and attendance as well as ensuring drivers leave the depot on schedule having been allocated the correct vehicle

Key Accountabilities• Forward planning on-the-day service requirements through to end-of-day and future days, including covering on the day absence• Support driver queries in a timely manner and oversee driver reporting• Ensure accurate capture and recording of drivers' hours, duties and attendance in the DAS GUI system• Maintain accurate records for all aspects of operational standards and performance• Analyse and manage information and systems, to proactively to ensure continuous improvement of service performance• Ensure drivers are allocated the correct vehicle and leave the depot on time• Deal with telephone queries and support the satisfactory resolution of customer queries• Ensure a comprehensive hand-over and coordination across shifts• Manage the collection of cash from depots in line with company procedures• Live input of lost/additional mileage when dealing with unexpected events (e.g. breakdowns)• Ensure depot equipment is logged and maintained and that sufficient levels of stock are available, including: ticket machines, driver equipment, cash machines, and ticket rolls etc.• Carry out investigations of incidents and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations• Work alongside depot operational and engineering team members, fostering excellent working relationships to effectively manage all aspects of on time performance, including vehicle allocation, breakdowns and changeovers• Comply with requisition to pay procedures and delegated authorities

Also being the face of the company, I ensured my customer service skills were always given to the best of my ability.• When an opportunity arose to assist new drivers going on the road, I was successful in being given this role. Key responsibilities included, meeting the new driver before the start of their duty, going through rotas and running boards, ensuring they had everything required, assistance with ticket machines and dealing with the passengers and assisting on route knowledge.
