CurrentFocus on building an effective team through recruitment, leadership, management and support. Guiding the team to achieve company goals whilst maintaining a wide range of technical responsibilities. Overall responsibility for DCIM, Engineer project management, core networking (administration, monitoring and backup) and business continuity backup/recovery/testing strategies. Recent projects include automation and physical infrastructure efficiency. Automation took the form of creating and implementing strategy to standardise engineering practices through use of automation, utilising automation in the modernisation of legacy solutions and expansion into Public Cloud technology. Evolving further through the use of CI/CD to applied engineering tasks. Increasing data centre efficiency included a variety of modernisation through virtualisation, utilising newer hardware with more density to reduce rack usage, physical server re-organisation and rack migrations.Management tools used; Kanboard(KanBan), GitLab (Planning and documentation), XMPP (Chat) & Google Meet (Extended remote working).Automation tools used; Ansible, Hashicorp Terraform, Hashicorp VaultDCIM tools used; Netbox (Documentation and planning), Observium (Network monitoring), Oxidised (Network backup)
