Responsible for assisting in the stand-up of all logistics needs for all Lines of Effort as well as coordinating between Logistics Section, Planning Section, and Command Staff to create and publish all Senior Leadership Briefs, Logistics Plans, as well as other assigned duties. Created and implemented Continuity Plans and Continuing Operations Plans to transition all operations from FEMA to DHS and contract personnel.10/2020-12/2020 - FEMA 4562-DR, Deployed to Salem Oregon for the Oregon 2020 Wildfires. Responsible for developing and publishing the Incident Action Plan as part of the Resource Unit - Planning Section.Other typical assignments include: -Supervise personnel assigned to the Planning Support Unit and make organizational adjustments to the unit based on the complexity of the incident, and request additional personnel, supplies, services, and equipment as needed. -Coordinate and support the implementation of disaster response services and programs through application of agency specific planning and management techniques (e.g., Incident Approach, Community Lifelines, Integrated Strategic Plan). -Utilize the FEMA 6 Step Planning Process to facilitate operational planning efforts and create functional plans.

Deployed to support new and ongoing Disaster Operations with Recovery Division, Public Assistance Branch, Region VII. Assigned as Qualified Program Delivery Manager (PDMG) in the Public Assistance Branch of the Recovery Division in Region VII. Works with State, Local, or Tribal public entities or qualifying Private Non-Profit entities in order to restore their property, equipment, or facilities to their pre-disaster status. Projects range from from Small Projects ($3,200 - $128,000) to large multi-million dollar projects.02/2020-04/2020 Detailed as an Appeals Analyst to Appeals Section, Public Assistance Branch, Recovery Division of Region VII. Writing First Appeals in accord with the Stafford Act, Administrative Procedures Act, and other federal laws and FEMA policies. Actively functioned as Appeals Coordinator to research, compile, and present data to other Appeals Analyst and FEMA Headquarters personnel. Developed and published Standard Operations Procedures in coordination with Supervisory Appeals Analyst and other stakeholders.

-- Interviewed clients to analyze personal and business tax situations throughout the 2017 tax season and was promoted for the 2018 tax season. Helped storefront reach and surpass service and sales goals for regional processing center. -- Complete and maintain 40 hours of annual continuing education credits from the Internal Revenue Service. Research individual tax issues for clients. Process state, local, and federal tax forms. Exercise due diligence to properly advise clients of their legal rights and responsibilities. Front line investigation and reporting on all suspected cases of fraud or abuse.

-- Under general supervision, zealously defends all assigned clients against any criminal charges, except felonies, brought before the Lima Municipal Court throughout a 10-week externship totaling over 130 hours. -- From August to November, maintained an average daily caseload of twenty to thirty cases. Guided clients through over 700 case resolutions that included pre-trial hearings, motion hearings, plea negotiations, plea agreements and sentencing hearings, three second-chair bench trials, two second-chair jury trials, and one solo bench trial. Continued working pro-bono beginning in December 2017.

-- Supported GYLA by assisting Georgian lawyers with various administrative, criminal, and civil cases in all levels of the Georgian judicial system during a 11-week residential externship totaling 340 hours. -- Researched and drafted the justiciability section of a petition to the European Court of Human Rights for relief on behalf of the survivors of an alleged human rights violation resulting in the death of a Georgian citizen in the Russian-occupied province of Abkhazia in 2016. -- Drafted and presented a white paper on comparative judicial selection for the United States and select European countries in support of ongoing judicial reform in Georgia.

-- Used my increasing expertise in development and rule of law to develop and implement various administrative and other cross-programmatic tasks during a 14-week residential fellowship totaling 523 hours. -- Investigated and processed expansive monitoring and evaluation data to backstop key performance indicators for this $13 million-dollar contract between Tetra Tech DPK and the U.S. Agency for International Aid. -- Helped plan and conduct many different presentations on behalf of COMET and other stakeholders. Helped create articles of incorporation for three civil society partner organizations in support of the Community Development Councils and Community Resource Centers. -- Represented COMET in several dozen meetings with various Jamaican Government Ministries, USAID, US Department of State, Jamaica Drug Treatment Courts, Jamaican citizens, and various governmental and nongovernmental organizations. Generally assisted in other daily activities to help implement this contract in support of the larger Caribbean Basic Security Initiative and other development contracts.
