• Chief architect and technical lead for an eight member team responsible for the design and implementation of a J2EE based grid computing system, the "job factory". The system coordinates the execution of IRI's retail space allocation planning program across a heterogeneous network of computers.• Created customized versions of the JBoss J2EE server to serve as "controller", "worker", and licensing servers within the grid network. • Designed clustering and fail-over algorithms that allow the system to continue execution of submitted jobs in the event of worker and/or controller node failure.• Designed platform independent data model for storing job factory submissions, logs, and artifacts produced by job factory nodes.

• Technical lead of a three person team responsible for introducing data level permissions into the Aurora system. The code allows Aurora administrators to specify the sets of trades that will be visible to users. • Modified the Aurora data model so that user permissions can be associated with trades by explicitly granting users permission to view trades made on specific books, or implicitly by granting users permission to view trades within groups of books organized into trading regions and business groups.• Re-architected the Aurora server side code so that lists of trades are provided by a single entry point.• Modified the Aurora web applications and Java Swing clients to present data only on trades for which users have been granted permission.• Modified the Aurora UNIX-based reporting scripts to generate sets of reports partitioned by trading desk and business group.

Developed business and technical requirements, and performed implementation and deployment, of the inventory allocation entry system used by Remy Amerique, Inc., which is United States distributor for Remy Martin, Inc. The system provides a Java based web interface to the client's AS-400 based allocation database and replaces an existing paper-based workflow

• Designed and implemented a logical file package system using container managed entity beans in JBoss and MySQL. • Researched and developed EJB and HTTP server clustering configurations using Apache and JBoss under Linux and Windows Server 2000.

• Developed the system architecture and provided technical leadership to on-shore and off-shore development teams for the eRAM reengineering project. The project required the development of a database and platform independent J2EE server application to replace an existing Windows NT C++ XML message server, while maintaining 100% backwards compatibility. • Designed and led the development of the alert services proxy server used by the Small Business Solutions web site. The server presents an XML interface to a D&B legacy system that provides alert notifications of significant changes in D&B business data.• Designed the transactional framework for the Small Business Solutions back end system using VB 6 COM+ components. • Led the development of the Global Decision Maker eCommerce business information web site. The site allows users to retrieve D&B business information reports, create credit decision rules, and execute automated credit decisions using D&B global data.
