With over 20 years of dedicated service in Recruiting and Retention within the Oregon Air National Guard, I currently hold the position of “Retention Office Manager” for the 142nd Wing and Joint Force Headquarters. My career has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for supporting the professional growth of my Wing, and more importantly, our service members and their families.With my Military experience I bring a wealth of expertise in professional public speaking in high pressure environments. Also, Retention data analysis, tracking and reporting, and developing effective member recruiting and retention strategies, such as bonus selection and allocation and prospecting. My ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights for our senior leaders has consistently improved our retention rates for the 142nd Wing. For instance, through targeted retention programs and personalized engagement strategies, I have played a pivotal role in consistently exceeding the national retention rate goal of 90% for the Air National Guard. I have heard it said that, “frustration is a product of misaligned expectations”. I believe that this is true and my professional approach is grounded in the principles of clear expectations, accountability, and transparency. I believe that setting clear expectations fosters a culture of trust and responsibility, while transparency in operations ensures that everyone is aligned and working towards common goals. As I look to the future, my goal is to graduate from Oregon State University’s College of Business and transition into a civilian career. I am particularly interested in management positions within recruiting and retention or leading an HR team. My aim is to leverage my extensive military experience to drive continued organizational success in the civilian sector.I am deeply passionate about helping individuals develop professionally. This passion has been a driving force throughout my career and continues to inspire me as I mentor and guide others towards achieving their full potential.
