Leading the WW Product Development, Offering Management and Support of IBMs premier offering in the Mixed Language Application Server space on z Systems. Responsible for the Product Development and Go-To-Market of z/OS Connect, IBMs API enablement and connectivity product into mainframe based applications and data. Also growing a working familiarity with Hybrid Cloud adoption practices and reference architectures as well as the role of Systems of Record (SoRs) in a Blockchain context.Expanding skills in Continuous Integration pipelines and Delivery, Agile development practices and DevOps processes.Finally leading the z Systems-wide Design Thinking initiative, creating and delivering on hallmark products as well as defining jumpstart and incubator project ideas. whilst continuing to lead innovation in his teams, ranging from new language adoption in CICS to the new consumption/trial model for z Systems.

Responsible for all aspects of Business Analytics on System z Product Strategy, Delivery and WW Sales

In his current role, Dave is responsible for all aspects of the Business Analytics offerings on the IBM System z platform. This involves leading a team of engineers, marketers and sales professionals driving IBMs premier Business Analytics products such as Cognos and SPSS onto IBMs strategic enterprise scale platform. Dave has a multi-million dollar revenue target and has grown the business by triple digits annually over the last 3 years. Under Dave's leadership, the technology developed is used by major corporations to underpin enterprise business analytics solutions to 100's of thousands of users and form the basis of private cloud implementations. Dave continues to speak at major IBM events around the world on the advantages of enterprise approaches to business analytics and successful cloud implementations. Dave is currently leading the development of a major competitive takeout solution on the platform.

Dave was responsible for a development team of over 180 people, designing and delivering IBMs enterprise level relational database. This role saw Dave introduce iterative development to the IBM process and form the cornerstone of the IBM DB2 z/OS 10 product launched in October 2010. In this role, Dave worked with many of IBMs premier customers worldwide and frequently presented at IBMs premier Information Management conferences.

Dave took on assignment with IBM in the United States, to streamline the development operations of the acquired Crossworlds company, bringing the team in line with mainstream development practices and auditable processes. Dave led the team to be the first IBM product to be certified as a provider to the pharmaceutical industry through a 21CFR11 audit. Dave was responsible for the continued development of the Interchange Server as well as the adoption of WebSphere v6 as the new platform for WebSphere Process Server working with customers to manage the adoption of the new enterprise application integration technology.

After completing an assignment in IBM Montpellier for IBMs large systems team, Dave returned to the UK and undertook a Services and Worldwide Pre-Sales leadership role with MQSeries. In this role Dave led a lab-based services team of engineers deploying the latest, bleeding edge technology with IBM premier clients. Dave also added the leadership role of the MQSeries Worldwide Pre-Sales team to his job responsibilities.
