David Johnson is an accomplished leader and creative problem solver with more than 20 years of experience in operational accounting and managing organizations. Mr. Johnson has a wide breadth of industry experience ranging from private equity, software, and manufacturing to transportation, construction, and real estate. During his business career, Mr. Johnson has served in the positions of company director, chief financial officer, controller, director of operations, finance and business consultant, investment analyst, and audit staff accountant. In early 2012, seeing a need that wasn’t being met by public accounting firms, Mr. Johnson established a strategic management accounting firm where he has functioned as a small market chief financial officer helping companies achieve their financial goals through strategy development and implementation, business planning, turnarounds, accounting and financial control, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, merger and acquisition support, corporate restructures and leadership training and coaching. In addition to his business experience, Mr. Johnson has served in the military for more than 22 years. He has completed three combat tours of duty and is responsible for the successful completion of more than 130 combat missions. Mr. Johnson is a commissioned officer and currently serves with the Utah Army National Guard where he is assigned to the 65th Field Artillery Brigade holding the rank of Major.Mr. Johnson’s professional education includes a Master of Business Administration from the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Utah Valley University. He holds diplomas from the United States Army Command and General Staff College, United States Marine Corps Basic Officer Course, and the United States Army Field Artillery Officer Basic Course.
