National Carbon Bank of Australia is a leading Accredited Certificate Provider in the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Scheme and the Commonwealth Emissions Reductions Fund. I was the Measurement and Verification Manager at NCBA from 2015 through to 2017. I developed the company's capabilities to provide M&V services to clients under the certificate schemes as well as Energy Performance Contracts and Environmental Upgrade Agreements. I was the company's Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) and held a seat on the advisory board to the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning for Measurement and Verification during my time at NCBA.

I developed Fortescue's renewable energy strategy and worked with leading global providers of renewable energy generation technologies. I designed, scoped and tendered Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Waste Heat Recovery and Wind power generation projects to meet the company's risk requirements for integrating renewable energy with existing diesel and gas power at the mine.I analysed the fuel and energy portfolio which included over 200MW of power generation assets and an annual consumption of more than 30TJ of energy. I also analysed the energy project portfolio including the Fortescue River Gas Pipeline, mobile fleet diesel/gas conversion and micro LNG and Gas-to-Liguid technology interests.I provided advice and recommendations to the board and executive which informed strategic decision making on the development of the energy portfolio.

Port Hedland, Wa

This was a new role within the company in a small, dynamic team of just 3 site based environmental professionals. We held the responsibility for ensuring the company's exploration, port and rail divisions met extensive environmental compliance obligations during an exceptionally rapid expansion up to 155 million tonne p.a. export capacity. This included all aspects of environmental impact management within the regular operations as well as the expansion projects.
