We were running a precast factory that produces the keystones used to construct the towers for the windfarm located in Nxuba, Eastern Cape. My duties were to function as a float engineer and quality officer that assists in different sections of the factory where necessary. I assisted with rebar inspections during fixing and the repairs of keystones after casting. Thereafter I took control of the keystone repair section, thus I was managing 5 foremen and 2 quality officers to ensure production. I was also responsible to maintain the stock of all consumables and tools used for the repairs and to present solutions and technical queries to the client when problems occurred. I was also appointed as an assistant site manager (8.2 employment) for this project to help ensure the safety of fellow employees and that all the work in my section was carried out in a safe manner.Construction value: R190 million
