As the agency owner of Joyner Family Insurance, I am an experienced business professional and spirited entrepreneur with strong ties to the Venice community. A graduate of local Venice High School, I left the area to earn both a Masters and Bachelors of Science degree in accountancy from Wake Forest University (Go Deacs!), formerly working as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Florida. I was fortunate to spend many years working within the finance and public accounting industry, until joining forces with my father, Lynn Joyner, as a fully licensed agent in his State Farm insurance agency. Ultimately, I fulfilled my desire to become a small business owner with the launch of Joyner Family Insurance in late 2009, an independent insurance agency providing a full array of personal and commercial lines insurance solutions.I am active in the Venice community, including past president, treasurer, and current board member of the SERTOMA Club of Venice; past chairman and trustee of The Venice Symphony; past treasurer and board member of the Venice Art Center; past president, treasurer, and board member of the Rotary Futures College Resource Center at Venice High School; and past chairman of the South Sarasota Unit of the American Cancer Society. In addition, I'm proud to serve currently as board chair for the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce and I'm a board member of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Most importantly, I live in the Venice area with my wife, Caitlin, and our two sons, Austin and Miles.
