- Private and government infrastructure development, affordable housing, mid-rise buildings, transportation, earth dams, water reservoirs, natural resources, and energy (high voltage transmission lines, substations, power generation and pipelines.- Geotechnical/geological engineering - development feasibility and permits, design investigations (particularly for multi-story buildings, linear infrastructure, earth dams and reservoirs), damage forensics, seismic risk, landslide hazard assessment/mitigation, and natural hazard mitigation planning per FEMA guidance. - Construction: plans/specifications, contractor bid review and selection, and construction management/inspection.- Policy development – natural hazard mitigation, disaster response, horizontal directional drilling, hazardous waste handling, health & safety, soil/rock classification, etc. - Consulting with state/local agencies, industrial and commercial site owners, architects, engineers, developers, agricultural industry, investors, lawyers, insurance companies, citizens groups, and regulatory agencies. - Expert witness and insurance cost recovery litigation.- Management of contracts, proposals, multi-company teams, cross-selling services within a company, opening/managing an office of a large worldwide 5,000+ employee company, technical groups, health & safety, operational and longer-range strategic corporate-level activities, many on-call public and private sector contracts with annual revenues of $0.05 to $2M.-- Environmental: explorations, soil/groundwater contamination assessment, wellhead protection, NPDES and erosion permits, sediment characterization, dredging, wetland delineations/mitigation, biological assessments, EIS, RI/FS, Superfund, RCRA, remedial design/action, and due-diligence assessments (Phase 1 ESA, building materials, etc)- Reappointments to the board of directors of the Northwest Environmental Business Council, and elected by his 120-person former employer to serve as a board member.
