Physical Security Specialist
Current➤ Visiting ATF field offices to ascertain the effectiveness of current security systems and remedying any discovered issues in a timely matter as well as traveling to ATF locations to develop and implement improvements to security in order to protect agency assets and personnel from identifiable harm.➤ Leading as the Contracting Officer's Representative for the ATF headquarters armed security officer contract while identifying security issues with little to no help and developing a course of action to remedy all issues.➤ Performing security surveys of new agency properties to determine suitable locations and then submitting data to contractors offering them the opportunity to submit their proposal and bid to perform the project.➤ Reviewing contractor's proposals for accuracy in response to proffered RFPs and ultimately ensuring timely project completion under budget while meeting specifications and quality requirements.➤ Overseeing the build out of all security equipment for new ATF space, collaborating and communicating proactively and effectively with all parties including the agency architect and the general contractor chosen by GSA to oversee the project.➤ Leading regular conferences with stakeholders, contractors, third-party vendors, and architects to review blueprints and other pertinent information to develop the security system build out and lock plan.➤ Developing, evaluating, and modifying guard contract security requirements to include the scope of work as well as working in the ATF's ID Media Program that includes PIV cards, credentials, badges, and passport photos.➤ Writing supporting documents on security matters to justify additional agency resources extending beyond direct responsibilities or requesting permission to modify certain aspects of security at the request of agents.
