Having begun my career in the actuarial field for property and casualty insurance I then spent two years on the coast of Kenya living in the bush with the Aduruma people learning humanitarian skills such as medical assistance, educational assistance, health and sanitation training, and infrastructure improvement. After completing a two-year degree in Intercultural Studies in London, England, I then applied this specialized training to the international tourism industry of Morocco. Applying my local knowledge of Moroccan culture and Arabic I then founded and ran the first foreign-operated real estate agency specializing in sales and restoration of residential properties in the medieval city of Fes, Morocco, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
