Essential Responsibilities and Duties:•Attention to detail and able to follow established standards, processes, formulas and controls to setup/prep, perform sample collection and quality control testing on both outbound finished products and inbound raw materials to insure compliance with company requirements. Tests may include, but not be limited to, pH, viscosity, tint strength, color match, sieve analysis, etc.•For outbound finished products communicates results of such QC tests to Quality Control Supervisor and Production Supervisor and in instances of product compliance, releases the product, closes the manufacturing order, and prints product labels, and in cases of non-conformance, documents such non-conformance and identifies the corrective actions necessary to bring the finished product into conformance with company requirements or, in the event such corrective measures are not possible, rejects the finished product outright.•For inbound raw materials, communicates results of such QC tests to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor and Purchasing Supervisor with a recommendation of either Accept or Reject.•Calibrates equipment/instruments and maintains records.•Resolves problems with equipment/instruments, test methods, and lab chemicals.•Investigates customer complaints.
