Hired by a Sino-American joint venture that had purchased the 5th largest bearing manufacturer in China. Goal was to implement a QS9000 quality and qualify GM water pump assemblies for sale to Delphi Automotive. Developed in implemented required quality system changes, PPAP, FMEA's, APQP, MSA, etc. Delivered prototypes for qualification testing: passed.

Chengdu, Sichuan, China

Responsible for new supplier, Chengdu Aircraft Corp (CAC) that was building the MD 80 Nose Structure Assembly. Developed their quality systems, monitored special process lines development, assisted in qualifying these processes with external auditors. Took part FAI's, planning of almost 3,000 detail parts that were produced and incorporated into numerous sub-assemblies and into final Nose Assembly. Conducted tooling inspection for detail parts and assemblies as well as prove for production. Performed in-process inspection and surveillance monitoring.

Assigned special projects as QA member of team that successfully bid C17 Aircrew Training System; Primary Quality Systems Engineer responsible for reviewing, modifying, and verifying compliance for all procedures used at MD80 co-production facility in Shanghai, China in advance of FAA audit to qualify facility for issuing Certificates of Airworthiness. No findings found in area responsible for.
