The Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Boy Scout Camp is an annual $190,000 non-profit, scout lead operation that provides Boy Scout Advancement opportunities to over 1,000 scouts per each camp, both East and West, over the summer. East Camp housed 1,373 scouts and adults over 6 sessions from June through August. I was one of four directors leading East Camp, and I reported to the Camp Director. I helped managed a staff of 50 counsellors, ages 14-21. I created and managed the Camp-Wide games to engage up to 300 scouts in a single, complex game each week, creating three diverse games throughout the summer. I managed eight Program Area Directors, each leading an area that that taught up to 16 merit badge activities for scouts. I helped manage a budget of $60,000 to procure program materials. I wrote and revised job descriptions for camp director positions to improve accountability and role satisfaction. I maintained careful records for classes and inventory. I created an environment that fostered teamwork, high ethics, and brotherhood.

As the Director of the Pinnacle Area, I was the manager of a staff, and I was tasked with orchestrating the events of the area. As Director, it was my duty to ensure the area ran smoothly by keeping track of the inventory and requisitioning necessary items as they were used.
