For my 7th year at CAS, I served as part of the Learning Support team performing the following tasks: led the development of a new Study Skills program for approximately 350 secondary students; developed systems for data collection, tracking, and analysis to improve programming; mentored both at-risk and gifted-and-talented students; and facilitated departmental, administrative, and professional development meetings. As a result, we improved key performance indicators (KPIs) by 10-15% each trimester, for a net improvement of approximately 40% in just one year.I served, by invitation, on the principal’s Leadership Team, advising on organizational policy and procedural matters.From the class of 2021, I was honored to receive the Teacher Appreciation Award and to be the faculty graduation speaker. In 2019 I received a letter of commendation from the school director for volunteering to assist with new teacher orientation.

I served as an Examiner for the TOK Essay, the primary duty of which is to assess candidate's written work using IB's TOK Essay assessment criteria.

ASU holds a special place in my heart as my first international teaching post, where I taught secondary English Language Arts (ELA) for grades 8-12 and Public Speaking for grades 11-12. I served in a leadership role as head of department, coordinating a department of three teachers. I also authored numerous departmental documents for accreditation renewal, and received praise from both the school and the accrediting body for the quality of our programming.I designed and delivered a new Public Speaking curriculum, and, with my colleague, the secondary English curriculum. As a result, we increased the success rate to 100%. I founded and led the Speech & Debate Club, for which I recruited a team of 20 members and we enjoyed a success rate over 60%. I also served as an executive board member of the Ulaanbaatar Debate Association, increasing participation and enthusiasm in the program.I served, by invitation, on the Principal's Advisory Committee, not only advising on various policy matters, but also playing a pivotal role in the school adopting the Advanced Placement (AP) program, a new learning management system (LMS), and Turnitin. I regularly presented to large groups of students, staff, and parents, and I was honored to be selected for faculty graduation speaker both years.

During my nine years at Oconomowoc High School, I taught secondary English Language Arts (ELA) and Public Speaking for grades 9-12, including honors and advanced courses. For four years I taught IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK), which saw an increase in enrollment of 15-20% each year, the only IB courses to do so, and for which we achieved the highest TOK scores in the state of Wisconsin.I authored numerous departmental documents for state assessment standards, receiving praise for various academic documents and procedures. I coached Speech & Debate, for which we advanced to the state-level tournament each year.
