Responsible for all Accounting and Financial Functions for this company that currently provides engineering services, and leading edge plastic material products out of its headquarters located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. The company owns several product and process patents; has a strong middle eastern client base; and has state of the art manufacturing facilities in the Middle-East. Expanded its presence in North America with the opening of an Engineering and Administration facility located in the Indianapolis area. The Tech center provides prototypes to meet customer design requirements for its innovative worldwide patented plastic pallet. This pallet has a material composition that allows Paxxal to be a low cost producer of a pallet that exceeds the strength capabilities of competitor products, doesn't need fumigation and has an unique built in tracking technology.

Assisted the CFO and CEO in securing $50 million of funding for the Revstone Organization that was operating under distressed conditions. Monitored and Reported Bank Covenants to various lending groups. Developed the 5 year plan for Metavation, Cast Metals and MPI - the profitable Transportation Group of Revstone. Served as Interim Business Unit Controller of MPI during the reorganization of the Senior Management staff.

Developed the Internal Audit Function for this Company that was a spin-off of Textron Fastening Systems. As no corporate functions existed for the organization post-divestiture from Textron (all corporate functions were held at Textron Corp. offices in RI), developed all Company Financial Policies, Internal Controls, Audit Committee, Charters, Audit Plan, Disclosure Committee, Audit Methods, Audit Selection and Audits, etc. Reduced annual external audit expenses by over $3 million due to development of Internal Controls, resolving audit follow up issues and by having the external auditors ("Big 4" firm) rely on the Internal Audit Departments findings.

Originally hired to assist in the improvement of the financial performance of the company, was reassigned to the role of Finance Director of the Remanufacturing operations for the Company with the departure of the former ReMan Finance Director. Handled all financial functions for the ReMan operation from the GL to valuation of cores, forecasting, financial planning, and the sale of the operation to a major Agri firm located in Illinois.

Developed the Internal Controls for the Corporate Accounting/Shared Services function for Hearst Corporation and RJR Nabisco. Areas include Global Tax, AR, AP, Inventory (Illustrations, Articles and Covers - Hearst; Leafs at RJR), GL, Risk Management, Royalties, Sales Discounts and Promotions, Purchasing, Payroll, Payroll Tax, Treasury and several other functions directly or indirectly responsible for the recording of financial transactions

Served as the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller of this >$1 billion Company that was formed by the divestiture of 4 General Motors plants to a private PE firm. Focus was on restructuring the cost structure of the former GM parts supplying plants. Responsible for all accounting functions of the Company including all external financial reporting as well as mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Served as a member of the Board of Directors. The plants were ultimately sold to a variety of major automotive suppliers.

Began as a Plant Accountant and steadily progressed to serve in all functional areas of accounting and finance. These areas included working in or managing: Cost Accounting, Credit and Collections, Property Management, Plant Controller, Division/BU Controller, Director of Strategic Planning, Director of Finance for the Worldwide Anti-lock brake operations, Director of Cash Management, Director of the Finance for the Americas etc. Supervised up to 70 employees with sales ranging from $800 million to $3 billion plus responsible for the financial functions related to the several hundred person engineering and R & D centers. The operations, profitability and practices established (by Kelsey Hayes/Varity/Lucas Varity) for TRW during this time period were sustained and continue to provide benefits for the Company up to the time of this writing.
