With over 20 years of experience as a systems architect in web technologies and Linux systems. I provide a strong foundation for teams to be successful with their initiates. This is accomplished by bring guidance to the latest technologies and DevOps processes for teams to use. By working closely with development and application teams, I am able to bring their ideas, creations and deployments to the web. As a Cloud Architect, I determine the services and processes new applications and services will utilize in the cloud. I develop architectures to meet the needs of teams which provide durability and performance for their application. I evaluate, plan and migrate existing applications housed in an on premise data center to a cloud provider. These migrations are designed to take advantage of the capabilities the cloud can offer at a lower cost. In this role, I manage the Getty's Kubernetes clusters and provide guidance to teams in moving the applications or services to a microservices architecture.I work with teams to switch to an agile workflow with a move to processes and tools which provide continuous integration and deployment. I help educate teams on the benefits of using DevOps processes to their workflows, and continue working with teams to provide guidance in adopting and utilizing DevOps. As a Systems Architect, I provide leadership in creating a deployment plan for applications housed in an on premise data center. This includes deploying in house developed and purchased applications. I evaluate and recommended software to manage, monitor and support the cloud and on premise applications and services. In my spare time, I volunteer for several organizations. I help a boy scouts with providing merit badge counseling and guidance on outings. I have been a leader and member of Boy Scout and YMCA committees.
