Managed a budget, developed career plans for the Japanese employees, and reported weekly to editors based in Manhasset, N.Y.
Became the defacto technology reporter for AP Tokyo, reporting on the rise of the IC and personal computer industries, U.S. - Japan semiconductor the telecom trade friction, government-led initiatives such as the Fifth Generation Computer Project.
