This is a fast pace, zero down-time environment that offers tight SLAs to its customers.Unified organization to a single global Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange infrastructure, bringing together business units which had operated independently for years. Promoted internal and external SSO via LDAP and SAML integration with AD. Automation with Oracle HR systems via Microsoft Federated Identity Manger.Created a highly virtualized and automated server and corporate environment. Promoted global collaboration with the rollout of integrated VoIP, Cisco/Tandberg audio and video conferencing, IM, and Webex. The system supports a wide range of endpoints all the way from high end boardrooms to mobile desktop clients. By utilizing the global reach of Interactive Data's MPLS network we achieved a net $100k/year savings.Led integration of Interactive Data Enterprise network with a low latency network provider purchased in late 2010. Developed a management model for the combined network that ensured reliability through clarity of responsibility and defined OLAs. The combined network eliminated redundant circuits and repositioned other assets for improved services while reducing costs. Worked closely with the Director of Information Security on the design and implementation of Interactive Data's Security Program which included policy, IT Controls, physical security, log monitoring, DLP, and end user training.Served as Chief Architect of Interactive Data Core Network. Led development of a high-speed, Cisco-based, multi-service optical network that covered the company’s U.S., Europe, and Asia operations and carried a wide range of traffic (e.g. real-time multicast data, production file transfers, storage replication, client-server applications, email, voice, and video). This project achieved $4 million annual savings and network currently reaches the entire globe.Designed and built the network, physical plant, and telecommunications infrastructure of a 12,000 sq. ft. state of the art corporate data center. Led the team that migrated live internal and external communications from an aging data center into the new facility without issues.Developed IT controls and electronic recorded retention policies and process in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, SSAE 16 data center certification, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulations. These efforts encompassed controls for user ID management, data backup, change control, log review, security infrastructure, and email retention. Drove development of data center disaster recovery failover mechanism and network design that allowed for applications to detect recovery state/failover with zero-to-little modifications, as well as enabling regular testing of recovery site with no negative impact to production operations. Expanded Lotus Domino from customer service application to corporate-wide collaboration platform. Facilitated innovative, cost-effective solutions such as tunneling mainframe tape drives over IP, connecting Lotus Notes over existing global X.25 network, and building a highly functional Network Monitoring System on open source system.Managed migration of Extel Financial US Systems. Migrated Extel's existing production systems to Interactive Data’s Data Centers and established international connectivity, linking organizations to Europe.
