Led development of a high-speed, Cisco-based, multi-service optical network that covered the company’s U.S., Europe, and Asia operations and carried a wide range of traffic (e.g. real-time multicast data, production file transfers, storage replication, client-server applications, email, voice, and video). This project achieved $4 million annual savings and network currently reaches the entire globe.Designed and built the network, physical plant, and telecommunications infrastructure of a 12,000 sq. ft. state of the art corporate data center. Led the team that migrated live internal and external communications from an aging data center into the new facility without issues.Developed IT controls and electronic recorded retention policies and process in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, SSAE 16 data center certification, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulations. These efforts encompassed controls for user ID management, data backup, change control, log review, security infrastructure, and email retention. Drove development of data center disaster recovery failover mechanism and network design that allowed for applications to detect recovery state/failover with zero-to-little modifications, as well as enabling regular testing of recovery site with no negative impact to production operations.
