Responsible for the delivery of the company’s NPI process. This includes costing and quoting, timing plans and resource planning, reading/understanding of technical requirements from 2D drawings, project launch with internal technical team, weekly updates with customers, and review meetings with company Directors/Executives.Main area of focus is the North American automotive market. Main products of manufacture are powertrain prototype castings. I work directly with the business development manager for this sector.Other area of focus is developing the company’s share of the turbocharger market. Key achievements so far have been taking responsibility of this business and taking it from a poorly performing account into one of the most profitable. Lead-times were improved, overall costs reduced and quality more consistent with customer requirements. Subsequently I pioneered a change to the method and process for the manufacture of bearing housings which has further reduced costs and lead-time and increased overall quality.

I managed a project where components were supplied from China so communication with our suppliers and customers was vital to ensure the customer’s quality and delivery requirements were met.An additional new project required the application of a volatile chemical. My task was to create a new process that would control the application and minimise exposure to the operators applying the chemical. I made the decision for choosing the right product that would ensure health and safety requirements were met. I created a COSHH risk assessment for the application process, which I presented to TI executives who were interested in implementing my proposal across Europe.My first task when I started at TI was to create an excel software program for the capacity planning of the company’s machines. Through self-study, I quickly trained myself in the use of advanced features, such as macros. This greatly reduced user time and improper input. After completing this task other departments asked me to create programs for them and train their staff. This led to an increase in the staff’s efficiencies.

During my college studies, I was an integral part of the leisure team, responsible for facility management, public assistance, and ensuring health and safety compliance. After gaining their attention, I explained to them the dangers, emphasising potential consequences. Effective communication de-escalated the situation, and the kids returned to safe activities. Maintaining continuous pool safety was crucial for upholding the company’s reputation as a safe swimming venue.I responded to a last-minute staff shortage by volunteering to start an earlier shift. I swiftly changed into my uniform and arrived promptly, facilitating the earlier opening of the pool. This earned appreciation from both management and the pool users.Successfully managed the preparation of a children’s birthday party, after overcoming an issue with the party room being unclean. Thinking on my feet, I re-prioritised my tasks to focus on quickly cleaning the room and setting up before the group arrived. Once ready, I assisted the parents with decorating. The pool party was a success, resulting in positive customer feedback.
